I have always had a love-hate relationship with August- By this time of the year I am usually tired of the heat, dreaming of warm fuzzy sock season while simultaneously admiring all the colors and energy that nature shares in the summer.
August means beginnings and endings. August is the beginning of the new school year, and the start of prepping the garden for winter. August is the ending of warm nights and driving with the windows down while listening to some rad 80s hair bands. (Yes, I said Rad) This August doesn’t feel like there are a lot of endings, just a lot more exciting beginnings.
Customers are becoming new friends, reconnecting with old friends, giving space for all the deserving souls to share and leave some of their troubles behind. Offering a crystal, candle, book, class or a reading to help jump-start beginnings.
As summer winds down and August comes to a close, please remember to pause and smell the flowers (deep breath in) and blow out the candles ( deep breath out). We’re all in this crazy hamster wheel of life together. Let's give space, compassion and permission, to ourselves and others to start a new beginning and to say thank you to any endings.
